the dallas morning news FINALLY published this assignment i shot a couple weeks ago about UT basketball player kevin durant. he's a freshman this year, and he's the #2 high school recruit in the nation. the only reason he's playing for us, is because he was too young to declare for the NBA draft straight out of high school. needless to say, we'll only have him for one season. anyways, i had a cool idea for the shoot...i wanted to do an in-camera double exposure and make half of the frame kevin's head, and the other half of the frame / his head a basketball. it totally worked. i got super excited. sent it to the morning news. and they promptly published a different (aka BORING) picture from the shoot. what the hell? eh, what do i know, i just take the pictures.....and research the subjects, and plan the lighting, and find the locations, and choose the right equipment.....and provide my mad ninja skills. oh well. here's the GOOD picture...if you wanna see the other one, go find a newspaper.

i'm not sure which television network big-whig decided this bunch of election belarky was more important than reruns of Scrubs on WGN, but when i figure it out, they're getting 6 gallons of rotting milk in their top desk drawer. and no, i don't ever so much as think about watching WGN for any other reason or at any other time than when Scrubs is on.
peace out.
